Footage of the Premier League clash has been doing the rounds on Twitter, and the short video is glorious footballing ineptitude.

Play begins with a corner on the left. Neither side can plant a clean header on it and after a few air swipes, it falls to a City defender who dribbles bravely back towards his own goal.

He then attempts to feed the goalkeeper a back pass which is horribly misjudged. A QPR attacker latches onto the loose ball, rounding the keeper before cutting it back.

A brutal lunging tackle appears to save the day but when it drops to the goalkeeper his clearance rockets into an opponent five yards away.

The deflection falls perfectly for a City striker with an open goal at his mercy but his feet are tangled and the ball trickles embarrassingly wide.

City went on to win the game 2-1 at Loftus Road but the lasting memory will surely be this hapless 20 seconds of 'the beautiful game'.
