This might be one of the best tackles we've seen in a while.

During a women's football match in Germany, a dog proved to be the star of the show after taking out a player after storming onto the pitch.

The dog sat with the home fans of a local German club against giants SC Freiburg, and made its move after the ball was lofted towards Freiburg midfielder Lina Magull.

But before she could take the ball down and control it, the dog sprinted from nowhere and stormed onto the pitch - before taking her down.

Magull ended up in a heap on the floor, but probably hoped that nobody would have picked up on what had actually happened.

She had no luck there though.

Magull's teammate Clara Schone caught the whole incident on video - and shared it with the world online.
