Soccer: Giggs accused of affair with brother's wife

British soccer star Ryan Giggs' off-the-field life is in the headlines again - this time he is accused of having a long-running affair with his brother's wife.

The News of the World says Giggs had an eight-year relationship with his 28-year-old sister-in-law Natasha.

The Manchester United and Wales player was recently outed as the sportsman who obtained a super-injunction to conceal his extramarital affair with former Miss Wales Imogen Thomas, star of the UK reality TV show Big Brother.

The News Of The World said the multi-millionaire footballer spent the night with estate agent Natasha as recently as last month - on April 9.

And it said Giggs was secretly seeing her while his wife, Stacey, was pregnant.

The 37-year-old is said to have met his brother's wife in a string of hotels, after first meeting her when she was single in 2003.

Giggs is said to have met Natasha eight years ago in a Manchester nightclub when she was 20.

She had recently split from the father of her first child and Giggs was engaged to Stacey.

A friend of Natasha's told News of the World that he apparently bought her drinks and complimented her appearance before asking her to meet him the following night.

The next night they went to a bar, where Natasha also met Giggs' brother Rhodri.

The three went to another bar then dined at a Chinese restaurant before all going back to a friend's house.

The source told the tabloid that this was where Natasha first slept with Ryan.

When she found out he had a pregnant girlfriend, she confronted him.

But Giggs is claimed to have kept in touch with Natasha and regularly met her to have sex.

In May 2003, Natasha started dating Rhodri and two months later Giggs apparently stopped contacting her.

But Natasha's friend claims Giggs got in touch to resume the affair in 2004.

Meanwhile, Rhodri proposed to Natasha in 2005, and Giggs was meant to be his best man.

Natasha fell pregnant to Rhodri later that year, but the newspaper says she still slept with Giggs during a charity golf tournament in June 2006.

Natasha and Rhodri's son was born in August 2006, and Stacey gave birth to Giggs' second child Zach two months later.

In June 2008, rumours of the affair were apparently spreading around Manchester.

But it was never confirmed, and Rhodri and Natasha finally wed in 2010, but with another friend, Will Mellor, stepping in as best man instead of Ryan.
