Arsenal newcomer Carl Jenkinson has made an early impression at the club, for the wrong reason however, after scoring a freakish own goal in a friendly during the weekend.
The 19-year-old defender accidentally sent a volley from more than 20 metres out over the top of his goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesnyduring a pre-season match against German side FC Cologne.
Jenkinson, who signed with Arsenal from Charlton during the off season, scored the own goal just before halftime and was then subbed off at the break.
