Steven Gerrard has made a sly dig at Chelsea fans after Stamford Bridge faithful cheered the departing Liverpool great in his last appearance at the London ground.
Following the 1-1 draw Gerrard was asked about the ovation was like from the Chelsea fans.
"I was more happy withthe ovation from the Liverpool fans. I think the Chelsea fans have shown respect for a couple of seconds for me but insulted me all game," Gerrard said.
"I'm not going to get drawn into wishing the Chelsea fans very well, nice of them to turn up for once today."
After the match Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said Gerrard, who has played more than 500 matches for Liverpool, will be missed when he departs for the American MLS to play for the LA Galaxy.
"I will miss him, yes. I want my league to be always the best league and have amazing players."
"The negative songs only shows respect," Mourinho added, defending his home crowd.
Mourinho also said he wouldn't be eying the 34-year-old Gerrard on a transfer move.
