Who are the players most likely to feature for the New Zealand football team in 2016? Jason Pine updates the All Whites Power Rankings (previous position in brackets).

1. (1) Winston Reid (West Ham United, England)
All Whites skipper and the only kiwi playing in the Premier League. Hamstring injury has
him currently sidelined, but unassailable at the top of this list.

2. (2) Ryan Thomas (PEC Zwolle, Netherlands)
Recently underwent knee surgery with a view to returning in time for the OFC Nations Cup. Anthony Hudson will have his fingers firmly crossed.

3. (4) Tommy Smith (Ipswich Town, England)
Playing every week as Ipswich push for promotion to the Premiership.

4. (3) Chris Wood (Leeds United, England)
Battling an ongoing hamstring injury but still the first choice to lead the line for New Zealand.

5. (5) Kosta Barbarouses (Melbourne Victory, Australia)
Bang in form for Melbourne Victory in the A-League.

6. (7) Marco Rojas (FC Thun, Switzerland)
Started in his Swiss Super League's side first game back after their mid-season break. Looks better the more he plays, so will hopefully get a good run in the side.

7. (6) Michael McGlinchey (Wellington Phoenix, New Zealand)
Has been in a quiet patch for his club side, but remains a fixture in the All Whites midfield.

8. (8) Glen Moss (Wellington Phoenix, New Zealand)
Showed his worth with a couple of stunning saves against Western Sydney on Sunday night. Clearly our best custodian.

9. (9) Themi Tzimopoulos (PAS Giannina, Greece)
Playing every week in Greece, a favourite of Hudson and versatile enough to play in defensive midfield if required.

10. (12) Tom Doyle (Wellington Phoenix, New Zealand)
Latest game for Phoenix was one of his best until forced off with injury. Seems to be getting to grips with playing left-back at professional level.

11. (11) Storm Roux (Central Coast Mariners, Australia)
Clear first-choice for his club side and must also be considered the best right-back for New Zealand.

12. (10) Michael Boxall (SuperSport, South Africa)
Extremely competent defender who is a shoe-in for the current New Zealand squad.

13. (15) Tyler Boyd (Vitoria SC, Portugal)
Continues to feature for his club side at first-team and 'B' level. Will be fascinating to see if he can convert his hard work to the international arena.

14. (13) Shane Smeltz (Sydney FC, Australia)
A goal-scorer over the weekend and still supremely fit. Must be included for his experience and uncanny knack of finding the net.

15. (14) Stefan Marinovic (SpVgg Unterhaching, Germany)
Hudson's first choice 'keeper in 2015 and Moss's likely understudy.

16. (16) Deklan Wynne (Whitecaps FC 2, Canada)
Very competent left-back who will certainly be in the mix.

17. (18) Louis Fenton (Wellington Phoenix, New Zealand)
Versatility and tenacity are his key attributes.

18. (17) Bill Tuiloma (RC Strasbourg, France)
Worrying to see him getting so little game time. Badly needs football minutes ahead of Nations Cup.

19. (28) Ryan De Vries (Auckland City, New Zealand)
Bang in form for Auckland City with five goals in his last two games.

20. (19) Clayton Lewis (Auckland City FC, New Zealand)
A standout for the ASB Premiership front-runners and always looks at home in an All Whites shirt.

21. (20) Max Crocombe (Southport FC, England)
Promising goalkeeper getting good game time at present.

22. (27) James McGarry (Wellington Phoenix, New Zealand)
Continues to impress at ASB Premiership level and in his recent A-League debut. Possible bolter for OFC Nations Cup.

23. (22) Sam Brotherton (Wisconsin University, USA)
One for the future after impressive debut against Oman.
