As snow has blanketed parts of England overnight, two of the most famous sporting grounds in the world shared images winter scenes.
Heavy snow in parts of Britain is causing disruptions to road, rail and air travel and has forced hundreds of schools across the country to close.
Snow andice warnings were in place in eastern Britain. Strong snow is expected tonight in northeast England and Scotland as the intense wintry weather continues.
The Twitter accounts of England's two most famous patches of grass - Lord's cricket ground and the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club showed to what extend the winter blast had blanketed their respective hallow turfs.

In Scotland, six fixtures were postponed today due to heavy snow. It wasn't just in Great Britain. The Nou Camp, home of Spanish football side Barcelona, was also experiencing snow fall. Earlier in the week a Serie A clash between Juventus and Atalanta was postponed due to snow.
