New Zealand's vaulting team are through to the final of the team's competition at the World Equestrian Games in France.
The NewZealand team are competing at the games for the first time.
They finished ninth in the compulsory section in Caen early in the week and were 10th in thefreestyle today, using a Lorde-inspired theme. That left them seventh of the 17 nations with the top 12 riding for the medals late tomorrow night.
The team, based out of the Kapiti Vaulting Club, performed significantly better than several other fancied nations.
The team of six riders and two reserves range in ages from 11 to 21.
The riders are Danielle Schwabe, Brooke Dunstan, Lily-Claire Palmer, Georgi Curran, Rhyanne Vasta, Evangeline Goldie, Grace Williamson and Jennifer Ponne.
