Equestrian: Meyer comes home 11th

Joe Meyer and Snip were the best performed of the New Zealanders at the Kentucky three-day equestrian event which finished in Lexington, United States, yesterday.

Meyer and his striking grey horse finished 11th. Mary King of Britain took the quinella with her horses Kings Temptress and Fernhill Urco.

Newly crowned Badminton winner Mark Todd was not in a good position after the cross-country and opted to withdraw NZB Grass Valley before the showjumping when he felt the horse was off.
