Equestrian: Main Kiwi hopes fade at Badminton

New Zealand's main hopes have fallen from contention after day three at the Badminton horse trials.

Starting the day in fourth on NZB Campino, Sir Mark Todd has been eliminated in the cross country, and sits 17th on his other mount, Leonidas II.

Unheralded kiwi Tim Price has shot up the leaderboard, and is second on Ringwood Sky Boy.

Andrew Nicholson is one of a host of competitors to have retired on a treacherously wet day, not finishing on his mount Quimbo.
