There was bright spot to a brutal finish for the New Zealand eventing team at the World Equestrian Games in North Carolina.
The effects of Hurricane Florence have overshadowed the competition, with the Kiwis finishing seventh and qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics through the performances of Sir Mark Todd and
Tim and Jonelle Price.
Tim Price was the best-placed New Zealand individual in eighth on Cekatinka, with one dropped rail proving crucial.
Price said it was a "tough track" with a lot of rails falling, and his errors cost a silver medal.
Rosalind Canter of Britain won the event on Allstar B.
