Kerrigan asked the reporter not to tell his wife that he had just spent a significant amount of their savings on a football game. Maybe next time you should tell her yourself before you agree to be on national television.
Read the full transcript of the interview below.
JUSTIN: Well I spent $21,000 on the tickets.
REPORTER: $21,000?! I thought you were talking $2,100.
JUSTIN: Don't tell my wife.
REPORTER: Are you joking right now?
JUSTIN: No, No.
REPORTER: Why?
JUSTIN: Well for four tickets. For the four of us. It's got the Broncos tail-gate package - all that jazz.
REPORTER: What if you guys lose?
JUSTIN: We're not going to.
REPORTER: What if you do?
JUSTIN: We won't.
For his sake, Kerrigan will be praying that he is right. Coming out of the match with the Vince Lombardi Trophy will be a small consolation, because he will be paying for it for a very, very long time.
