Kiwi V8 Supercar legend Greg Murphy went undercover as "Barry Ford" to take NRL and State of Origin champion Cameron Smith on an hot lap.

Murphy introduces himself as 'Barry', a Ford-driving Holden lover, and sits in the passenger seat while Smith drives around the track.

Then they change seats and Murphy shows the Storm halfback just how fast the new Holden HSV can go.

Big cycling crash
A scary crash involving the Netherland's Rabobank-Liv during the elite women's team time trial at the road world championships.

Lead rider Annemiek van Vleuten, crashed into a rail sending her bike flying across the road.

She managed to walk away from the crash but that could be said for teammate Anna van der Breggen, the third rider, who hit van Vleuten, flipped over the handlebars, breaking her pelvis.

Celebration warming
Detroit Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch will miss the rest of the NFL season after tearing a knee ligament in a sack celebration gone awry.

Tulloch tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee yesterday after sacking Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, landing wrong after a celebratory leap, AFP reports.

"You're passionate about the game and you want to get up and celebrate and people do it many times," Tulloch said after the Lions victory.

"It's unfortunate that it happened to me." Tulloch had 20 tackles and two sacks in three games this season.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell said he doesn't plan on trying to quash post-play celebrations by his players.

"This is an emotional game," Caldwell said. "We want enthusiasm."
