Cycling: Henderson finishes third

New Zealand cyclist Greg Henderson has finished third overall in the Tour of Britain and taken the sprint title after the race's eighth and final stage around east London today (NZT).

In front of impressive crowds, Henderson riding for the British Sky team, finished fourth in the closing circuit race behind German winner Andre Greipel, who sprinted clear at the end of eight 12km laps to edge out Argentina's Sebastian Haedo and Englishman Roger Hammond.

Greipel's team mate Swiss Michael Albasini took the overall honours after leading the race since Monday's stage to Swansea, while Borut Bozic of Slovenia finished second.

Henderson took third for Team Sky and also claimed the points classification title.
