Cycling: Strong performance earns Oceania bronze

Auckland cyclist Aaron Strong clinched a bronze medal in the Oceania road time trial held on Queensland's Sunshine Coast today.

Strong, 22, covered the 40km course in 51 minutes 14 seconds, to trail Sydneysiders Peter Milostic who recorded 49min 53sec and runner-up Geoffrey Cook whose time was 50min 14sec.

Strong will also compete in the elite men's road race on Saturday at Yandina.

The Oceania titles are incorporated in the Australian National Road Championships and finish on Sunday.
