Cubs World Series celebration ranks as 7th largest gathering in human history

Scenes have been rolling in from Chicago this morning, with millions of people turning up to cheer their beloved Cubs in the World Series victory parade.

Streets were flooded with a sea of loyal supporters who came to see their championship-winning side show off the silverware.

Even the Chicago River was painted blue with coloured dye.

Officials estimated the crowd at around five million, making it the seventh largest gathering in human history.

The Cubs celebration crowd even beat out the 3.5 million people who went to Rod Stewart's 1994 concert in Rio.

That leaves little time to enjoy the All Blacks who are in town, but Liam Squire said it "made it easier for them to walk around town."
