The White Ferns were unable to overcome a slow start to their run chase in the second Twenty20 against Pakistan, falling to a 10-run loss in Dunedin.
The New Zealand side were looking to bounce back after dropping the first of the three-match series on Sunday, and held Pakistan to
137-6 from their allotted overs; Fran Jonas and Molly Penfold starred with the ball in hand, bagging two wickets each.
In response, the White Ferns lost their top order of Bernadine Bezuidenhout (2), Suzie Bates (18), Amelia Kerr (2) and Sophie Devine (5) inside the opening six overs of their chase.
At that point, the White Ferns were languishing at 29-4, however they were given some hope by the middle order with Maddy Green (18), Georgia Plimmer (28), Hannah Rowe (33) and Lea Tahuhu (13*) all making good contributions.
It all came down to the final over, where the White Ferns were left needing 18 runs from the final over with Rowe and Tahuhu at the crease, but they came up short to finish 127-7 at the end of their 20 overs.
