The New Zealand women's cricket team were left cooling their heels today when rain ruled out any play at the World Cup tournament in South Africa.
The White Ferns had been due to play their last round robin match against South Africa.
Instead, the reigning World Cup champions were left inactive and now prepare for a semifinal against India at Potchefstroom starting on Thursday night (NZ time).
The first semifinal, between top qualifiers Australia and England, starts tomorrow night.
New Zealand head into their semifinal with a fully fit squad after Rebecca Steele and Louise Milliken had overcome injuries.
