White Ferns' cricketer Emily Drumm will play for Northern Districts this season.
Drumm has played for Auckland for over 15 years, but has decided to move this season to help the young Northern Districts side, which she hopes will stimulate her own game.
"I've learnt all my cricket in Auckland and love playing for the [Auckland] Hearts," she said.
"However, I'm nearing the end of my career and I thought a change would be good for my cricket."
In a new initiative, Auckland Cricket has invited a Country 11, selected from Hamilton and surrounding areas, to compete in its Premier Club competition. Drumm will now play her club cricket for that team.
