Rain stops practice for Black Caps

Heavy rain in Georgetown has disrupted New Zealand's first practice session in preparation for the Super Eights clash with Ireland on Tuesday.

The Black Caps travelled to the ground but were unable to start their session and the forecast for tomorrow is not much better.

Confidence continues to grow that Ross Taylor will be able to play against Ireland even though he is still undergoing remedial work on his injured hamstring.

It is unlikely that Michael Mason will be considered for the next game. He has had a gym session today but is walking with a slight limp and struggling with a calf strain.
