The chance of a shower over Eden Park tomorrow is sure to make some fans nervous as the Black Caps square off against South Africa in the first semi-final of the Cricket World Cup.
WeatherWatch has put the chance of a shower in Auckland tomorrow at 40 per cent inthe morning and 25 per cent in the afternoon.
"Basically, weather conditions around Auckland will be bit cloudy and humid," senior weather analyst Philip Duncan said.
"It's down to the hit and miss nature of showers and if they focus around Eden Park - or further afield across the Auckland region."
MetService said a "sprinkling" of showers was possible before the 2pm start, and could linger into the start of the first innings.
However, they should clear up as the sun breaks through during the match.
Tomorrow morning the weather analysts will be better placed to say whether the showers are likely to happen.
Temperatures across the country would warm up a little this week, MetService said, and the theme for the South Island would be long sunny periods, with some occasional showers in the upper North Island.
