Cricket: Warne loses TV deal

Australian cricketer Shane Warne has had his contract with an Australian television network cancelled in the wake of his latest off-field indiscretions, which also led to the breakdown of his marriage.

Channel Nine has confirmed Warne's contract was due to expire and would not be renewed.

News Ltd newspapers reported yesterday that Nine network owner Kerry Packer had phoned Warne in England and told him that his A$300,000 ($335,000)-a-year contract would not be renewed.
