Jesse Ryder, Nathan McCullum and Jacob Oram were the only New Zealand players to pick up new Indian Premier League contracts following last night's auction.
Ryder was purchased for $US260,000 ($NZ307,000) by the Delhi Daredevils after having previously played for the Pune Warriors and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
It's a pay
rise for the former Black Cap after he played the last two years for the Warriors on a $US150,000 salary. The franchise decided not to take up an option for a third year.
Ryder, who is taking a self-imposed break from the international game, will join Ross Taylor at the Daredevils. The franchise also spent $US450,000 on South African Johan Botha.
McCullum was purchased for $US100,000 ($NZ118,00) by new franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, who replaced Deccan Chargers, while Oram went for $US50,000 ($NZ59,000) to the Mumbai Indians.
