Australian batsman Usman Khawaja has been granted a visa for India, meaning he can play in next month's Champions League Twenty20 tournament if selected in the NSW squad.
Khawaja's visa was processed on Wednesday by the Indian Consulate in Sydney.
Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed on Tuesday that Khawaja's visa hadbeen held up by officials at the Indian High Commission.
"Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia are seeking to understand the detail behind the stoppage with our colleagues at the Indian High Commission,'' CA spokesman Philip Pope told AFP on Tuesday.
The Pakistan-born Australian player vented his anger about the delay on Twitter, suggesting he was being refused the permit because of his country of birth.
However on Wednesday morning, Khawaja - the first Muslim to wear the baggy green for Australia - was given the green light to travel to India.
"We are delighted that this has been settled and we thank the Indian Consul-General, Mr Amit Dasgupta, for his prompt attention in resolving the matter,'' Cricket NSW Chairman Dr Harry Harinath said on Wednesday.
The NSW squad for the Champions League will be announced later this week.
