Black Caps fast bowler Trent Boult has been acknowledged for an outstanding 12 months in the long and short forms of the game by being selected in the ICC's Test and ODI Teams of the Year.
Boult was the only New Zealander to qualify for both sides - Kane Williamsonwas named in the test team while Ross Taylor made the ODI side.
During the voting period Boult took 32 wickets in seven tests, at an average of 26.18, and 40 wickets in 19 ODIs, at an average of 20.55.
Australian skipper Steven Smith was the only other player to be named in both teams.
Alastair Cook was named as the captain of the test side that includes three Englishmen in Stuart Broad and Joe Root.
South Africa's AB de Villiers, meanwhile was selected in the ODI Team of the Year for the fourth time in five years and for the first time as captain. Proteas players Hashim Amla and Imran Tahir joined him.
The qualification period for the teams ran from September 18 last year to September 13 2015.
The selection panel who made the decision included past greats such as former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop, ex England batsman Mark Butcher and former Australia women's captain Belinda Clark.
It was chaired by former India captain Anil Kumble.
Winners of the individual awards will be announced later this month.
