A late collapse saw the West Indies reach 51 for three at stumps in reply to New Zealand's 275 after the opening day of the first cricket test here at Eden Park today.
Scott Styris, fresh from his unbeaten 103, took two wickets in his second over as the touristslost three wickets for four runs.
At the crease at the close were Ramnaresh Sarwan on three and Brian Lara on nought, with Styris owning the fine figures of two for two.
Styris' fifth test century was backed up by 51 from Nathan Astle as New Zealand were dismissed in 69.1 overs, with Dwayne Smith the leading West Indies bowler, taking three for 71, while debutant Ian Bradshaw took three for 73.
