Central Districts allrounder Ewen Thompson is a new face in New Zealand team named today for a two-match Twenty20 cricket series against the West Indies.
The 29-year-old left-handed batsman and medium pace bowler is the bolter in the 13-man squad to play the West Indies in Auckland on
December 26 and two days later in Hamilton.
Northern Districts fast bowler Tim Southee and limited overs specialist Scott Styris also return to national duty while opening batsmen Tim McIntosh and Jamie How and seam bowler Iain O'Brien are members of the current test squad not required.
