The Black Caps appear to be planning a fairly decent party to farewell Chris Cairns - but not until after the West Indies series.
Cairns will make his final appearance in what will be beige on Thursday, in the 20-20 match against the Windies at Eden Park.
When asked about
a send-off at the game, vice captain Daniel Vettori said it would have to be a case of business before pleasure - in the meantime.
Vettori said they cannot really send him off properly on Thursday, with the first one dayer just a couple of days later.
The Black Caps were looking pretty un-shaven at yesterday's training, perhaps an indication of another 20-20 facial hair spectacle on the way.
