Australian cricket broadcaster Channel Nine has released extracts of the exchanges between Adam Gilchrist and Craig McMillan.
They were involved in an animated discussion after McMillan refused to walk on the fourth day of the opening test, and were seen having what appeared to be a less-than-pleasant conversation at the end of the match.
The flare-up occurred on Sunday after McMillan appeared to edge a ball from Jason Gillespie to Gilchrist, but was given not out by West Indian umpire Steve Bucknor, to the obvious dismay of the bowler, wicketkeeper and slip-field.
According to Channel Nine, McMillan said at the time to Gilchrist: "Not everyone is a f ... g walker, Gilly. Not everyone has to walk mate."
After the game, ground microphones picked up the second dialogue, including McMillan's comment to Gilchrist that "I just thought you were being a little bit righteous, that's all. That's fine."
Gilchrist replied: "Hey, one comment."
