Cricket: Gillespie replaces O'Brien in NZ squad

A toe injury has ruled Iain O'Brien out of the New Zealand team for the first cricket test against England starting in Hamilton tomorrow.

The medium-fast bowler has been replaced in the squad of 13 by his Wellington provincial teammate Mark Gillespie.

New Zealand team management today said O'Brien injured his left big toe while bowling at practice yesterday.

It is hoped he will be available for selection for the second test in Wellington, starting on March 13.
