Auckland allrounder Tama Canning has replaced the injured Chris Harris in the Black Caps squad for the third and final one-day cricket match against Australia tomorrow.
Harris, in his 250th international, tore his right rotator cuff while fielding in the Black Caps' 17-run loss in Sydney last night.
Canning, who will join the team in Brisbane for tomorrow's match with the series tied at 1-all, has been in top form for Auckland in the State Championship.
Yesterday he posted his highest first class score of 115 after bagging eight wickets, including a career best six for 44, as Auckland thumped Northern Districts by an innings and 89 runs.
Canning, 27, made his Black Caps debut in Pakistan last year where he played three matches.
He has taken four wickets at 30.75 and scored 26 runs in his brief international career, but has 146 wickets in 42 first class matches at an impressive 23.45.
With the bat he has scored 1329 runs at 24.61.
Canning was named Auckland cricketer of the year for the 2002/03 season after taking 46 State Championship wickets -- the best haul since Black Caps coach John Bracewell's 43 for Auckland in 1986/87.
