WELLINGTON - Stephen Fleming and Lou Vincent led the way with half centuries as New Zealand beat a local selection by 39 runs in Mumbai in a warmup match to next week's Champions Trophy tournament.
New Zealand batted first and scored 246 runs for 8 wickets with Vincent making 59,
Fleming 52 and Hamish Marshall 43.
The locals were bowled out for 207 with Mark Gillespie and Jeetan Patel getting 3 wickets each.
Shane Bond, Daniel Vettori and Jacob Oram were rested from the match but coach John Bracewell said they will play in the next warmup match tonight.
Bracewell said the match was a bit of a reunion for all the players and he was pleased they were able to test themselves against a quality side.
The Blacks Caps first Champions Trophy match is against South Africa on Monday.
In Jaipur, England skipper Andrew Flintoff hit a half-century in a 144-run win over Rajasthan Cricket Association 11.
England notched up 295-8 in their 50 overs.
Jamie Dalrymple also starred with the bat hitting four sixes in an unbeaten 79 and seamer Sajid Mahmood took three wickets as the RCA 11 were bowled out for just 151 in reply in the warm-up match.
England begin their Champions Trophy campaign against hosts India here on Sunday.
