New Zealand cricket captain Kane Williamson has been given time off from domestic cricket to recharge ahead of the series against Bangladesh starting on Boxing Day.
There are no restrictions on 10 of the 14 who were part of the 3-0 drubbing from Australia last week.
Williamson was originally setto play two T20 Super Smash games for Northern Districts, on Saturday against Auckland in Hamilton and Sunday, at Mt Maunganui against Otago.
But New Zealand Cricket has since decided the skipper needs a break, following the 3-0 Chappell-Hadlee series loss to Australia this month.
All the other members of the team trounced across the Tasman will play varying numbers of games.
In-form Auckland opener Martin Guptill still has lingering concerns over a shoulder problem and will undergo some rehabilitation but play a game on December 22, against Wellington in the capital.
Senior seamers, and Northern Districts teammates, Tim Southee and Trent Boult are the others with a limited workload.
Southee will play two games this weekend and possibly another on December 23 against Central Districts in Hamilton, while Boult is due to turn out in ND's game against Otago on Sunday.
