Cricket: Black Caps make good total in Victoria

Most of the Black Caps batsmen have had a good hit out on Australian soil.

New Zealand reached 277 for seven batting first in their 40 over warm up match against a Victoria selection in Melbourne.

Stephen Fleming made 67 while Nathan Astle, Scott Styris and Mathew Sinclair all retired after making significant contributions.

Not such good news for Hamish Marshall, Craig McMillan and Chris Cairns though, making 2, 6 and 4 respectively.

Andre Adams and Chris Harris were the not out batsmen.
