Cricket: Bangladesh batsmen set to resume in Dunedin

Bangladesh is just 72 runs behind New Zealand will all ten wickets still in hand heading into day three of the first cricket Test in Dunedin.

The tourists will resume this morning at 148 without loss, with Tamin Iqbal unbeaten on 72 and Junaid Siddique on 69.

The Black Caps were dismissed for 357 in their first turn at bat with Matthew Bell's 107 and Jacob Oram's 114 the highlights. For Bell, it is the perfect way to celebrate a recall to the national side. He says his century is the result of a lot of hard work and the challenge now is to score well consistently.

The 148 run opening partnership is a record for Bangladesh against all countries.

Play is scheduled to start at 11 o'clock.
