The White Ferns have finished top of their pool and head into the semi-finals of the Twenty20 World Cup unbeaten after inflicting a seven-wicket win over South Africa.
New Zealand claimed their fourth consecutive win after restricting South Africa to just 99 runs, with Sophie Devine and Leigh Kasperek claimingthree wickets each in Bengaluru this morning.
The Ferns reined in the 100 runs needed in 15 overs, thanks largely to the efforts of openers Suzie Bates and Rachel Priest, who combined for a 57-run partnership.
Bates hit 29 off 25 deliveries and Priest racked up a quick-fire 28, to put them in a comfortable position, before Devine stepped up to hit 27 not out, including three fours and a six.
The White Ferns' semi-final opponents will be known on Sunday night (NZT) with 2009 champions England meeting Pakistan in Chennai, while the West Indies take on India in Mohali.
