Jofra Archer has called for action against racial abuse on social media after he was subjected to racist messaging online.
Archer reposted messages he had received on Instagram from one individual and it is not the first time he has been the victim of racist abuse.
He said: "I [have] given a lot of thought about reacting to this and I hope that no one else has to deal with stuff like this on a regular basis, it isn't ever acceptable and should be addressed properly in my opinion. I will never understand how people feel so freely to say these things to another human being, it baffles me."
Archer was abused by a supporter in New Zealand last year and fans were thrown out of Old Trafford during last year's Ashes series for something similar.
Archer was abused in New Zealand as he walked back to the pavilion after he was dismissed in the second innings in November. He was so incensed he took to social media after play to highlight the abuse he had received. "A bit disturbing hearing racial insults today while battling to help save my team. The crowd has been amazing this week except for that one guy," he wrote.
