Queensland bowlers will be seeing D'Arcy Short in their nightmares.
The Western Australian and international all-rounder pulled off one of the great one-day cricket innings on Friday, smashing 257 runs from just 148 deliveries in Australia's list-A competition.
That's 250! Unbelievable batting from D'Arcy Short!
Short blasted 23 sixes and 15 fours in his innings, which felljust 11 runs short of the highest ever list-A score. With just under five overs left to play in his side's innings, Short was stumped but had done the damage to lead his team to a competitive total.
No other player on his team scored more than 27, as they were all out for 387.
The world record one-day score is the 268 from 160 balls Englishman Ali Brown smashed for Surrey against Glamorgan in England's domestic competition in 2002.
