Cricket: Controversial umpire dies

Pakistan's controversial cricket umpire Shakoor Rana has died after a heart attack. He was 63.

Rana stood in 15 tests and 19 one-day internationals. He was famous for a finger-wagging incident involving England captain Mike Gatting at Faisalabad in 1987 at the end of the second day's play in the second test.

A day's play was lost because of their argument and Gatting was eventually forced to apologise.
