Cricket: Chance of rain at the Gabba

There is a chance rain could arrive at the Gabba in Brisbane during the final day of the first test between the Black Caps and Australia today.

When play gets underway, New Zealand will be 142 for three, needing a further 362 for victory for what would be the greatest fourth innings chase in test history.

A spot of rain would help their prospects, and weather forecasts predict a cloudy day with a 50 percent chance of showers during the morning and early afternoon to ease mid-afternoon.

The morning temperature is a balmy 20 degrees with a high of 25 expected through the late afternoon.
