Former Black Cap Andre Adams has agreed to a one-year contract extension with English county side Nottinghamshire that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2014 season.
The 37-year-old, who has claimed 614 wickets in a lengthy first-class career that began in the 1997-1998 season inNew Zealand, has taken 54 scalps from 11 matches in the County Championship's first division this year at the impressive average of 17.64.
Nottinghamshire's director of cricket Mick Newell told the club's website: "Andre has been our best bowler for some time now and his performances this season more than merit an additional year on his deal. We will preserve him for four-day matches because that's where he's at his best."
Adams played one test for New Zealand against England in 2002 and also turned out in 42 one-day internationals and four Twenty20 fixtures.
The right-armer also played for Auckland in the HRV Cup last summer.
