Two motorcyclists have been punished with two-year bans for starting a mid-race fight during Costa Rica's National Championships.
Costa Rican motorcyclists Jorge Martinez and Marion Calvo were racing side-by-side, battling for position during a race in February, before their bikes got too close.
Martinez grabbed the back of Calvo's bike in a bid to balance himself but as his bike suddenly drove off the track towards the wall, he was left hanging onto his opponent.
Calvo's quickly came to a stop and a push to Martinez sparked the brawl as the pair started to exchange punches in the middle of the track.
The race was red-flagged after the pair finally separated themselves, with the Latin American Motorcycle Association since confirming the two-year suspension of both riders.
