What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
My background's in rugby and I just love playing sport, really. On a Monday night I play basketball, Tuesday night I play tennis and Wednesday night I play touch. So they're my hobbies. I just love getting out
and being active.
Why did you choose that?
Well, I play touch with a couple of my sons so it's a good way to spend time with them. I find it's a way to socialise. I don't drink, so as opposed to going to bars and having a few beers, my social time's sport.
What do you enjoy about it?
I grew up playing a lot of sport so it's ingrained in my psyche. But I just like being fit and feeling healthy. Even though I'm 43 now, I still have a bit of a competitive edge. Without being ridiculous, I like to get out there and keep fit.
Is it expensive?
The sports are all cheap. They've all got small sums to pay but we've got a mate with a tennis court, so that's easy. But they're all very affordable and very accessible, so it's all very low-key.
What do your friends and family think about your hobby?
It's all good. It's good for them because the fitter and more active I am, the more time I get to spend with them and run around after them.
