Tickets for Joseph Parker's WBO heavyweight title fight against Andy Ruiz at Vector Arena next month have been selling at a rapid rate, which has seen the lowest ticket price jump $170 in less than 24 hours.
Tickets for the historic fight went on sale at midday yesterday, with thecheapest set of tickets that went on offer to the general public selling for $99.
As it currently stands, however, the three cheapest categories for the fight have all sold out, with tickets valued at $99, $149, and $199 all now unavailable.
The cheapest tickets currently available for the fight have a price tag of $269, $170 more expensive than the originally lowest-priced tickets that went on sale less than a day ago.
The most expensive tickets on offer for the first world title bout to take place in New Zealand are currently selling for $799, which would give buyers a ringside seat.
Despite Vector Arena holding a capacity of 12,000, only 8000 tickets went on sale to the public yesterday, with about a third of the tickets going to corporates, with 124 tables seating 10 people and raised boxes seating up to 20 set aside before tickets went on sale.
About 85% of corporate tickets have been sold, Duco Events chief executive Martin Snedden told Fairfax.
Duco will be hoping that the current rate at which tickets are selling continues, especially considering the $4 million cost of hosting the fight in Auckland.
