UFC boss Dana White has hit back at Floyd May weather as he continues to try and negotiate a blockbuster fight between the boxing great and UFC star Connor McGregor.
In the weekend May weather told TMZ Sports that White was a "f**king comedian" after offering the undefeated boxer US$25 million and a share of pay-per-view revenue to fight McGregor.
May weather earlier told ESPN that US$100 million was his number for anyone trying to lure the 40-year-old from retirement.
White fired back at May weather's claims that he's the bigger draw proposed fight with McGregor.
"First of all, Floyd thinks he's so much bigger than Connor - he's wrong. Floyd's gone undefeated for 20 years, I give him all the credit in the world for doing that. Connors been around for three or four years. For him to think that he's a much bigger star than Connor isn't true. I'm not going to pay him way more money than I'm going to pay my guy," White told TMZ.
"We all know $25 million isn't peanuts and so does he. He's hanging his watch out the window, his watch is the problem. When you're wearing a watch that's $250,000, you're going to need $25 million real quick, pal. Hey Floyd, taxes are coming up too, buddy. The IRS is going to be all over you pal."
That had been reports that May weather offered McGregor $15 million, as well as a percentage of the pay-per-view profits but White denies any offer has been made by the boxer.
"Floyd said that he made an offer. He never made an offer. It's not true. I made an offer," White said. "So if you're serious, there's a real offer. Where do we go from here, Floyd?"
