Bowls: Kelly skips team to national title

Cantabrian Andrew Kelly has skipped his four to the National Bowls title in Auckland.

Kelly, Greg Ruaporo, Blake Signal and Ali Forsyth have thrashed stalwarts Neville Hill, Mike Bradshaw, Colin Haysham, and Brett Hassall 18-6 at the Cornwall Bowling Club.

Today's win is the 23-year-old's first national title but could be what's needed to launch him into the five-man team for the World Bowls tournament later this year in Adelaide.
