Auckland's Jamie Hill has beaten another seeded player at the World Indoor Bowls championship in Sheffield in England.
Hill has beaten England's 15th seed Mark Royal 10-1, 12-6 to reach the quarterfinals.
It is the best performance by a New Zealander on the World Bowls Tour since Rowan Brassey made the singles semifinals in 1997.
To match that feat, Hill now has to beat Welshman Richard Morgan on Friday night.
