Bowls: Cameron wins men's singles final

It was a case of the student defeating the master in the men's singles final at the national bowls championships in Henderson today.

Dwayne Cameron came from 19-8 down to pip veteran Rowan Brassey 21-20, picking up four shots to win on the final end.

Cameron said it was 'awesome' to beat someone he respects so much - and even boarded with at times.

He said it was a privilege to be on the same green as Brassey.

Brassey remains without a national singles title in his illustrious career.
