New Zealand are well placed to collect silverware at the Asia Pacific bowls championships in Adelaide after all four teams in competition so far qualified for the semifinals.
The women's triples of Jan Khan, Leanne Curry and Genevieve Baildon qualified top after two more wins yesterday (Saturday) in the final
round of section play and they were joined in the semifinals by Jo Edwards and Val Smith in the women's pairs, Shaun Scott in the men's singles and Tony Grantham, Dan Delany, Ali Forsyth and skip Richard Girvan in the men's fours.
Khan's unbeaten triples dealt with the Philippines 22-14 in the morning session and then easily accounted for Fiji 25-8 in their final pool game.
Edwards and Smith struggled in their match with Brunei but came through to win 16-11 to confirm a place in the semifinal against the Norfolk Islands.
Shaun Scott will meet world No 2 Brett Wilkie (Australia) in his semifinal after wins yesterday over Japan (21-8) and Canada (21-16) to finish section play in third.
