Watch: Steven Adams with massive alley-oop as Oklahoma City Thunder win big

Steven Adams had another productive game for Oklahoma City as the Thunder thumped the Los Angeles Lakers 118-78 in the NBA today.

The Thunder began brilliantly, riding the momentum of a Russell Westbrook to Adams alley-oop and a two-handed flush by Westbrook after a steal to knock up a 20-point advantage by the end of the first quarter.

Adams' one-handed dunk brought the house down and following his impressive dunk over the head of LeBron James last week. The Kiwi star finished the match with 10 points and seven rebounds on the night.

In the second period, Kevin Durant mesmerized the crowd with a fancy dribbling display before he drove to the middle and scored on a slick layup.

Durant was the game's top scorer with 22 points to go with eight rebounds.

The Thunder's 40-point victory was just five points shy of a franchise record for margin of victory.

Los Angeles Lakers retiring legend Kobe Bryant missed the clash with a sore right shoulder, but he said he doesn't believe it's serious and that he should be able to play on Tuesday against the Nuggets in Denver.

Meanwhile, Ellie Day, the wife of Australian golf star Jason Day, still has concussion symptoms despite being released from hospital after being fallen upon by LeBron James while sitting courtside at Cleveland's win over the Thunder last week.

Day, who gave birth to the couple's second child last month, was taken out on a stretcher after James tumbled into her while chasing a loose ball in the fourth quarter of Thursday's 104-100 victory over Oklahoma City.
